- 200 gram margarine
- 150 gram walnuts · coarsely crushed
- 1 dessert spoon cinnamon
- For the syrup
- 4 water glass (200 ml) sugar
- 3 water glass (200 ml) water
- a quarter piece lemon
- To decorate
- 3 tablespoon pistachios
How to make it
Open in kitchen mode-
Lay the first sheet of yufka on a flat, firm surface.
-
Spread half the melted margarine over the yufka with the tip of a spoon.
-
Spread the fat over the whole sheet with the help of a brush.
-
Spread half the shredded kadayıf evenly over the yufka.
-
Sprinkle cinnamon over it.
-
Spread half the coarsely crushed walnuts over the kadayıf.
-
Roll the yufka up tightly.
-
Cut the roll two fingers wide with a sharp knife to get round pieces.
-
Lay the pieces on their sides on a lightly greased baking tray.
-
Prepare the second sheet of yufka the same way and arrange it on the tray.
-
Bake in a moderate oven until they are lightly crisp and golden top and bottom.
-
Meanwhile, put the sugar, the water and the lemon in a pan and bring it to the boil.
-
Once it has boiled, take the syrup off the heat and let it cool.
-
When the kadayıf rolls are golden, take them out of the oven and let them cool to lukewarm.
-
Pour the lukewarm syrup over the rolls.
-
Transfer the pastries, once they have drunk up the syrup, to a serving plate and serve with crushed Antep pistachios scattered over them.
