Mücver with Courgette

One of 8 versions of Mücver (Vegetable Fritters). The table below shows how their ingredients differ.

Ingredients

Servings 4 people
  • 2 piece courgette
  • half bunch onion · fresh
  • half bunch dill
  • 75 gram white cheese
  • 1 piece egg
  • 2.5 tablespoon flour
  • a quarter teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 water glass (200 ml) sunflower oil · for frying

How to make it

Open in kitchen mode
  1. Wash the courgettes and cut off and discard two or three pieces.
  2. Peel them.
  3. Grate them into a bowl on the fine side of the grater.
  4. Squeeze them lightly by hand to draw off the water.
  5. Trim the spring onions and chop them finely.
  6. Trim the dill and chop the leafy parts finely.
  7. Crumble or grate the white cheese you have soaked the salt out of.
  8. Add everything except the salt to the grated courgette and stir it in well.
  9. Heat the sunflower oil in a pan.
  10. Shape the mücver mixture with a tablespoon and drop it into the hot oil.
  11. Fry until both sides are golden.
  12. Drain off the oil with a slotted skimmer and lift them onto kitchen paper.
  13. Sprinkle over the salt and transfer them to a serving plate.
Tips

If the cheese is salty, do not add any more salt; it is safer to sprinkle the salt right at the end, over the fried mücver.
