Krep (Crepes)
Crepes with Prawns
One of 13 versions of Krep (Crepes). The table below shows how their ingredients differ.
Ingredients
- 300 gram shelled cooked prawns
- 4 slice tinned pineapple
- 3 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 piece egg
- 1 water glass (200 ml) flour
- 1 water glass (200 ml) milk
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 40 gram butter
- half teaspoon black pepper
How to make it
Open in kitchen mode-
Put the flour, the milk and the eggs in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1.5 tablespoons of melted butter.
-
Beat it with a whisk.
-
If the batter is too thick, thin it with a little milk.
-
Strain it through a fine sieve into a clean bowl.
-
Cover it and let it rest somewhere cool for 30 minutes.30 min
-
Heat the remaining butter and the olive oil.
-
Add the prawns and the pineapple, drained of its tinned juice and chopped, and turn them for 2 minutes.2 min
-
Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and the black pepper and stir.
-
Cook for 2 minutes, carrying on stirring.2 min
-
Grease a pan 16 cm across and heat it.
-
Take the crepe batter from the cool place and stir it with the whisk for another half minute.
-
Take a ladleful of the mixture and make a crepe in the pan, in which you have melted a walnut-sized piece of butter.
-
Carry on the same way until the mixture is used up.
-
Share the prawn filling out between the crepes and fold them in two.
-
Put them in a greased baking tray and keep them in a 190 degree oven for 10 minutes.10 min
-
Serve hot.
Straining the crepe batter takes the lumps out of the flour; unstrained batter gives a grainy crepe in the pan.
